Nidhi and Naitik
The Global Bhatia is proud to share the news of Topper Twins NIDHI DHANANI and NAITIK DHANANI who have achieved outstanding results in ICSE board exams. Nidhi ranked 1st in her school and 3rd in the ICSE Board. Her brother Naitik was 3rd in school.
What role had the school played in the success of both the children?
The school was very supportive and had been very attentive when it came to studies as well as co-curricular activities. Regular revisions, examinations and excellent faculty had helped my kids, a lot. The principal used to personally monitor the students and was regularly updated by the teachers about the students’ progress.
Were the kids into any extra curricular activities apart from studies?
Yes, it was not like they were living through as bookworms, they used to play games in the building and would socialize well with other kids. But they would not play or sport at the stake of their studies. I remember them skipping the festival of Holi during their exams as they did not want to be distracted or hamper their health with outside food. They had balanced their studies and other activities pretty well.
Coming to the most awaited question from my side… what were the sacrifices they made in order to achieve such extra ordinary results?
Firstly their smartphones, which were the main source of distraction, were taken away from them. They initially hesitated to it but then realized that the decision was right. They were given a limited time of watching television i.e. 2 hours.
Future plans?
Right from the beginning we had encouraged our kids in doing what they were interested in. currently Nidhi is planning to take up commerce and she will make up her mind about the career once she is well verse with the courses and subjects in commerce .
On the other handNaitik is planning to do computer science and is currently preparing for JEE.
Do you think the values and ethics played a good role in their success?
Yes ,ofcourse. Being a person of values is more rewarded than anything else. The success did not got into their head and both of them were down to earth. These values are probably the things that make my kids special from others.
I had the typical doting relation with Naitik but at the same time were supportive towards each other at all times during our preparation – NidhiDhanani
